99-02 is where its at and 00 was bisco at their creative height (w/ or without brownstein). total experimentation. just check out the helix as an example
...
of their creativity.

When they had jordan on bass it was really good. I love his addition to the sound. Deep and throbbing bass lines, yet with a creative and technical flair.
...
There is just a distict vibe, and communication between the players seems perfect. The whole show is great, I think they should listen to more old shows for inspiration. The sound quality is pretty middle of the road, a little chatter. This era translates into intense music and great improvisation.
